Translation
- + King Edward greets Archbishop Stigand and Earl Harold and Abbot Wulfric and Osweard and all my thegns in Kent in friendship. And I inform you that I intend that the estate at Mersham and all the things that rightly pertain to it shall belong to Christ Church in Canterbury, with sake and soke, as fully and to the same extent as Sigweard and his wife granted it thither; for it is my will that the judgement shall stand which my thegns decreed.
