    • Bounds and appurtenances of Haven. And in fact these are the bounds lying around the aforesaid estate: On the north, the bishop’s boundary: east by Hun’s hill [or ‘barrow’] as far as Ceolmund’s boundary and as the estate’s boundary. So south over the middle of Haven [‘heath-down’] and over the old farmstead and south by the king’s boundary to the great dell. North and west by the king’s boundary as far as Ceolmund’s wood, west by the wood along the road as far as the pit; and east from the pit through the wood on the south side of Hunesbiorg. And waggon-way [i.e., the right to take waggons] for the estate across Ceolmund’s property to the old street. These are the meadows that belong to that estate: one at Beckley and [one] on the south side of Strood in the king’s meadows, which belong thereto. Endorsement (b).
