Ego Æthelstanus, qui et Liuingus, dedi ecclesiæ Christi in Dorobernia et monachis in eadem ecclesia Deo seruientibus duas uillas in regione que nominatur Suthreia, nomine Mersteham et Ceieham, liberas ab omni molestia seculari, exceptis expedicione, pontis et arcis construccione. Siquis aliquam iam dictarum uillarum alias a predicta ecclesia auferendo locare studuerit, excommunicatus cum diabolo societur.
