Ego Ascuuinus Dorcestrensis ecclesie pontifex reddo ecclesie Christi et Ælfrico archiepiscopo metropolitane sedis terram de Hrisbeorhge cum libro eiusdem terre pro salute anime mee. Quam uidelicet terram Sigericus archiepiscopus eiusdem ecclesie Christi predecessor prefati archiepiscopi Ælfrici dedit mihi in uadimonium pro pecunia quam a me mutuo accepit. Ego autem, timore Dei compunctus, pro salutis eterne spe ut prefatus sum, liberam eam reddo ecclesie ad quam iuste pertinet, ab omni mundiali obstaculo, cum omnibus ad se rite pertinentibus, exceptis expeditione, pontis et arcis coedificatione. Hanc mee munifice concessionis libertatem conantes mutare uel minuere seu frangere, habeant partem cum hiis quibus dicitur ‘Discedite a me operarii iniquitatis in ignem eternum ibi erit fletus oculorum et stridor dencium’, nisi prius digna penitentia et legali satisfaccione ante exitum corporalis uite canonice emendauerint.
