    • In Tidenham there are thirty hides, [that is] nine hides of desmesne land and twenty-one hides of tenanted land. At Stroat there are twelve hides, [including] twenty-seven yardlands of rent-paying land and thirty basket weirs in the Severn. At Milton [there are] five hides, [including] fourteen yardlands of rent-paying land, fourteen basket-weirs on the Severn and two hackle weirs on the Wye. At Cingestune [i.e., Sedbury] there are five hides, [including] thirteen yardlands of rent-paying land and one hide above the Dyke that is now also rent-paying land, and what there is outside the enclosed land (hamm) is still partly demesne land, partly let for rent to the Welsh seamen. At Cingestune [there are] twenty-one basket weirs on the Severn and twelve on the Wye. At Bishton there are are three hides and fifteen basket weirs on the Wye. In Landcaut there are three hides and two hackle weirs on the Wye and nine basket weirs. Throughout the whole estate twelve pence is due from every yardland and four pence as alms. At every weir within the thirty hides every second fish belongs to the lord of the manor, and every valuable rare fish — sturgeon or porpoise, herring or sea fish. And no-one is to sell any valuable fish when the lord is on the estate, without informing him about it. From Tidenham much labour is due. The geneat must work on the estate or off the estate, wherever he is ordered, and ride and <? provide transport> and perform carrying service and drive herds and do many other things. The gebur must do his duty. He must plough half an acre as week-work and himself fetch the seed from the lord’s barn; however, [he must plough] a whole [acre] as church-dues, [with seed] from his own barn. For weir-building [he must supply] forty larger rods or a fother of small rods [perhaps wicker here], or he builds eight yokes for three ebb tides. For field-fencing [he must supply] fifteen poles, or dig five. [He must] fence and dig one gyrde of the hedge around the burh [the manor-house], reap an acre and a half, and mow half and acre, and do other kinds of work, according to the measure of the work. He shall give six pence after Easter [and] half a sester of honey, at Lammas six sesters of malt, at Martinmas a ball of good net yarn. On the same estate it is the rule that he who has seven swine shall give three and thereafter always the tenth, and nevertheless [pay] for the right of having mast when there is mast.
