    • + King Cnut greets Bishop Eadsige and Abbot Ælfstan and Æthelric and all my thegns in Kent in friendship. And I make known to you that I have granted Archbishop Æthelnoth all the landed property that Ælfmær had and [which] rightly belongs to Christ Church, within the borough and outside it, with woodland and open land, as fully and to such an extent as Archbishop Ælfric possessed it or any of his predecessors.
